Neither him or the homeowner are too bright. He chased the guy who was running away down an alley and shot him? Here in Illinois, if I did that I'd be in jail in a heart beat.

I'd say lock them both up for 60 days in the same cell. Dumbass homeowner shooting down a dark alley multiple times he needs to be restrained and think about that.

I would say the homeowner is more of a danger to his neighbors and community than the alleged burglar. Stand your ground does not mean spray the alley.

That homeowner has a problem I don't think any of us here on this form would ever have. I think all of us here have really thought out specific scenarios and have too much commonsense to do something that stupid.
