What does your State Constitution say...

Arizona Constitution, Article 2, Section 26: "The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself or the state shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations to organize, maintain, or employ an armed body of men."

That's the same wording for Washington and we are a "shall issue" state. I did see that we get lower rating for gun rights because of the required background check law passed a few years back.

My research shows California has no provision for the the right to bear arms. Which I fully understand because California is under communist rule.

Tennessee State Constitution, Article I, Section 26, reads:

That the citizens of this state have a right to keep and to bear arms for their common defense; but the Legislature shall have power, by law, to regulate the wearing of arms with a view to prevent crime.[

Well that explains a lot. I am willing to bet it has something to with depriving certain races of arms back in the old days... Chinese and Mexicans.

Georgia: Paragraph VIII. Arms, right to keep and bear. The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, but the General Assembly shall have power to prescribe the manner in which arms may be borne.

Recent changes in the law actually make it easier to carry in Georgia and forbid counties or cities from passing laws that are more restrictive than the State laws regarding arms carry.
