Indy 500

The second race today is the Indy 500, it will be broadcast on ABC. Pre-race show starts at 10:00 AM and the race at 11:00 AM. Looking at the radar for the area it looks like they could have rain toward the end of the race.

In the 60's and 70's I used to listen to the Indy 500 on a local AM station and later that night they would show the whole race on a local ABC TV station.

Too many damn commercials. I live in the black out area and normally turn my antenna South to watch from Louisville. However my rotor is not working correctly so I should be thankful they lifted the black out.
Every time something important happened there was a commercial.

It was a decent race. Nice to see a rookie win, but the dust up on pit road was inexcusable.

My nephew's friend was racing this year- Sage Karem. Too bad he crashed.

I thought it was a great race, the rookie winning came as a real surprise, I never would have picked him.

I watched the race, I really didn't have a favorite but I didn't expect a rookie to win. I like it cause they have to race, driver to driver, machine to machine. They can't have any of this bumping and grinding for position.

I have a question: What type, style engines are they running now? How many cylinders? Is Honda and Chevy the major engine makers?
