Orlando shooting...

Yup, looks like 20 dead, and being dubbed an act of terrorism. Other than the shooter having been taken out details are sketchy. WTF

Yah, it's a mess, it was reported that there was an off duty LEO acting as security at the club who was armed and got into it with the guy. No mention of what happened to him. It was several hours later that the shooter was taken out?

With the shootings I hear about in Chicago 365 days a year I guess I'm just becoming callous. Other then the fact that this will stir up the anti gun crowd I really don't give a hoot.

At least 20 dead, 42 injured. Very sad. People just out enjoying themselves on a Saturday night. Apparently the cell phones of the deceased are ringing, as loved ones look for them.

Plenty of increased security now in Orlando and at the parks at the start of the summer season.

Heard on news this AM that of the officers involved, one took a hit in the head but due to his Kevlar helmet, he sustained a superficial wound that was not thought to be life threatening. I hope this is true and then I want to talk to those members of our government who advocate removing 'military equipment' from police forces because it looks too aggressive!

Oh, it gets worse.

One of the members on the ACOC forum pointed out that this is Ramadan. That ought to fire up the every conspiracy theory discussion section.

There's been a call for violence against us infidels to celebrate Ramadan I guess? It's looking this guy was a Muslin type too.

50 dead. Definitely muslim. Parents Afghani. This guy is local to me. I will check tomorrow with my buddies that own guns stores to see what is up.

No criminal record locally that I could find. Divorced.
