Colt Government Pocketlite 380

Howdy everyone !

Found this little Colt advertised locally and picked it up today. Its hard to find these in good condition and this one seems to be lightly used. Parts are a booger to find, but the values on these little discontinued Ponies keeps going up. Will put some rosewood grips, clean and tune. Great little weekend project

Will add it to my Colt Collection of stainless models.

Sweet! A nice little family you got there.

I have a Colt Competition 1911, SS, 9mm, on lay-away. I'll pick it up in a week or two and I plan on using it in some USPSA matches in the Production Class.

It was love at first sight ... it spoke to me... said, "buy me, take me home". Those Colts are such sweet talkers.

I have a Colt Mustang 80 series very similar to the government model. Nice find on your Pocketlite.

Just finished installing new wood grips from Altamont on the little Colt. Upon checking the gun out after I got it home, it has a significant issue with failure to extract. Extractor was loose and would move forward and aft due to loose fitting firing pin stop. After a bit of research, found a website ( Jack First Gun Parts) that has more parts for the Gov 380 than Id ever found. Ordered up a bunch of spare items along with new extractor and FPS. While waiting, I polished up chamber, under belly of slide and feed ramp. Got the new parts installed last night and shes cycling through snap caps as it should. Will fire a few rounds tomorrow.

Snapped a pic alongside its Stainless brother
