Sweet Dreams - ZZZZZZZ

I'll be sleeping soundly tonight with my new and improved nightstand gun set up. It is my Smith and Wesson M&P9 Pro Series. It has factory night sights, 18 rounds of Critical Defense ammo, Talon grip wrap and a brand new Surefire XC2a light/laser combo.
Just finished installing and zeroing the laser. 300 lm of the wide beam light which is perfect for indoors and a really bright red laser.

I know, I know, a lot of folks don't like the lasers. I do aim with the sites but the laser may be an additional deterrence factor as well as an alternative aiming device.

That and the fact that Oscar sleeps very lightly.

I like your alarm system, the gun isn't my cup of tea but that doesn't mean it's bad or won't work for you.

I find the laser's to be a distraction, for some some reason I can't concentrate on the sights with them. They are a bit of deterrent though.

If the laser dot on the target distracts you, forget the sites just pull the trigger. There are many documented cases where the laser has caused the perp to drop to their knees screaming "don't shoot". I would rather not have to fire on an intruder.

I like it! I have a similar set up on a Sig 320. Night sights, Talon grip, APEX trigger, Streamlight TLR-3 (no laser) and two 15 round mags, one in the gun and one beside it. Plus a very powerful hand light and a sharp Mantis folder. I sleep well.

I pity the fool that kicks your door in at three in the morning.

Congratulations Cuca, My M&P45 and my wife's M&P9 are always ready to go and I would trust both of them.
How do you like the trigger on the Pro, I never tried one ?

Just to be clear my M&P is a ProSeries, 4 1/4 inch barrel. That's different from the Pro. Anyway the trigger has a little take up, 4 pound wall and then a glass like break. No complaints really. I'm not a bull's-eye shooter and I never mess with the triggers on my defense guns. That's one of the first things that prosecuting attorneys will look at and use against a defendant.
The take up feels a little gritty; not as bad as dragging a trashcan over a gravel driveway but you can feel it.
