Range Report Smith and Wesson Shield 40

Comes with 6/7 round magazines. Fits my hand perfectly. For a light polymer platform recoil is very manageable.Trigger takes some getting used to. Long travel but much smoother than my Glocks. I really enjoy shooting this gun.
12 yards standing, no spiderman. Various shot speeds from slow to triple taps.

My wife has that in a 9mm. It's a NICE gun, 100% reliable right out of the box. The only thing I don't like about it is that the safety is not ambidextrous.

Yeah I know that small thumb safety takes some practice me being lefthanded.

Very nice shooting! Put an Apex trigger kit in your shield and the trigger will be as smooth as butter.

^^^^^What he said^^^^^ Good shooting ! I would see if the safety can be removed, it's not really needed on a gun like that, on a long, heavy, safety trigger, your finger is the safety.

It's a popular little shooter, got me one in 9mm. A lot of the recoil sensitive types on the Internet say the .40 has too much recoil. But my friend has one in .40 and I didn't think the recoil was much different then my 9mm.
Good shooting partner.
