AR Magazine Storage?

Do you keep your rifle magazines loaded?
Loaded or not how do you store them? What/how do you store them? G.I. ammo cans, plastic style ammo cans, bags?

I want to know what you use not what you think "might work" or what your Uncle Eddie uses.

I guess I'm looking for what holds the most magazines and takes up the least amount of space.

Thanks

I keep mine in the safe, usually unloaded. I have my AR for pleasure not home defense, I have plenty of handguns for that.

I have a plastic box with an o-ring seal that has 10 mags loaded at the ready and it sits next to my AR. Its nice to have just in case. Not that I'll need 300 rounds but I also take the box to range so I dont have to fumble with loading mags at the bench. I keep all my ammo in metal ammo cans that I get when I order in bulk.

Heres the box: https://www.amazon.com/MTM-Tactical-...m+magazine+box

Thanks, to be clear this question is not about home defense or having magazines and ammo ready for an emergency or anything like that. It's just about storing them.

I have some magazines loaded and they are in the safe but I also have some just still in the cardboard boxes they were shipped to me in. Trying to combine ammo and mags and maybe save some space and make more secure at the same time.

Thanks Seth, I've seen those before, didn't buy any back then but now the magazine count is getting higher and I'm going to have to do something.

I keep all of my mags loaded, because like you said, it saves space. The can I use is pretty nice for storage of said mags
