Range Report Rock Island Government GI

Got to my booth, Range bag, targets etc. Realized my prescription glasses were in my Silverado. Thought I better go and then thought again. A bad guy aint gonna let me wait and get my glasses besides i got these yellow shooting glasses. 7yrds 50 rounds

Had one failure first magazine eighth round ftf made it halfway into the chamber. My fault, strengthened my grip all was good. Here's the whole target.

Not bad for a $430 1911.

Shirley you are kidding. Look at all the spent brass on the ground (maybe 20-30 holes, hundreds of casings?). Looks like you missed more then you hit.

Looks like you need a Wilson Supergrade!!!

With your bringing up the amount of brass on the ground along with the fact the brass has fell behind the target , I think he was shooting behind the target and poked holes in it with his fingers.. I bet an investigation of his finger tips would find target fragments under his nails. So sad..........

You will never know Zoomy because immediately after shooting I got a mani and a pedi. My wife better clean these guns up tonight because I'm not messing up my nails.

For self defense that is more than adequate.

I'm not an big advocate for slow precision shooting with self defense carry guns. Need to be able to shoot well enough to get lead on target, but agonizing over which shirt button to aim at or calling time out to get the proper glasses on during a struggle.... well... I think GlokRok has the right idea.

Good shooting.

Folks have a lot of good things to say about those RI GIs.
