Is the barrel ported or are those just lightening cuts in the slide?

I believe those are just lightening holes in the slide.

Copied directly from S&W Performance Center web page.

Special Features: Performance Center Action Job, 3.5-4 lb. trigger pull, throated barrel, precision Crowned Muzzle, Polished Feed Ramp, Spherical Barrel Bushing, 30-Lines Per Inch Checkering, Ambidextrous Frame Safety, Slide Ported Lighting Cuts.

No mention of a ported barrel any where on the page.

Yep! I just went back and looked at that again before I saw this post. Just says the slide is ported...for looks I guess?

Like I said I've been wrong before.

The description in this review that I found is...

Have match-grade barrels with hand-cut chambers, appropriately throated..

S&W Performance Center 1911s | American Handgunner

The chamber is hand cut. Slide cuts are to make it lighter in weight per article.
