Grip Project for my Dan Wesson Valor

I'm working a project this weekend for a new set of Cocobolo Grips for my Valor. I'd saw some like this on another forum and really liked the look. The problem was that you cannot buy grips with this style medallion. Actually, I wasn't able to find any medallions anywhere on the web. So... the only option was to find some donor grips on eBay. Found some for a Dan Wesson Revolver at a reasonable price. Found the Wilson Combat Cocobolo Grips on Palmetto Armory site. Once I had both grips and medallions I wanted, the next challenge was the WC Medallions required a counter sink diameter of .52". The DW Medallion diameter is .56". I had to study for quite a while on the best approach and finally decided to get a Dremel Press Stand for my Dremel tool. Got a 1/4" 120 grit sanding wheel. Removed the WC Medallion, then set the grip up in the stand and set the depth to allow me to meticulously sand the diameter to the desired measurement. Slow and easy was the required approach, removing often and measuring. Once I got it close with the dremel, I switched to hand sanding with one of the disc wheels till the medallion fit perfectly in its new resting place. Took about 2 hrs to get the first one fitted, but the look is exactly what I'd hoped for

Great project as its flippin hot outside today !!!
