Baby Smith Heater

Won this last night. I'm a sucker for snub nose, pre-locks, not a blaster, .22lr, very light weight...could be fun. Didn't have anything like it, didn't know they existed until last week. I got to stay off Smith and Wesson Forum and GunBroker...NOT.
1997 Vintage S&W Model 317 No Dash "New Old Stock". No longer in production. Maybe a little high price, at least over the old suggested msrp, but it is new in box.

Oh, they make a newer model 317-3 I think, has the lock, plain black rubber grip, gosh awful big tall hi vis green front sight, 3" barrel, way cheaper than the No Dash I bought but the new model is super, duper UGLY, IMO.

Congrats there Arland on a very nice score.

I've got the M317 Airweight model in 3", eight shot, adjustable sights. It's my daily companion when hunting for mulies or elk. So light and handy, I forget it's there sometimes.

You're gonna love the little gun and the accuracy, even with that short barrel may surprise you.

Hard to resist sometimes, eh?

I like snubbies, too. I just wish I could get my favorite one back from my wife...

JC, GunBroker my friend, I've not bought a firearm at a LGS in 5 or 6 years. LGS don't have chit. LGS will only have Glocks and Smith's with the ugly lock above the cylinder release.

Hahaha. Rick you know me well enough to know I didn't even try to resist, heck I didn't even hesitate making the one and only winning high bid. Yeah, this one is 8 shots. Does yours have the tall high vis front sight? I'm OK with Hi-Vis but they look way to tall.

We have the same taste in firearms! Hear Ye! Hear Ye! I decree Rick and Arland to be BROTHERS. Dilly! Dilly!

I agree, I havenít bought a gun from my LGS in years either but itís nice to see a gun before you buy one. Not seeing a gun isnít a dealbreaker for me but itís nice. If they would negotiate their prices I would love to use them but they donít.

Who do you think gave her the knives she has? She has a Microtech OTF that would peel your flesh like a grape.
