Wilson Combat CQB
A few weeks ago on GunBroker due to my hesitation I missed the limited time "Buy Now" on a spectacular Supergrade CQB, it was changed to a auction and I made a bid of $3,500 when it was over the WC Supergrade sold for $4,500 and YES that is a hell of a lot of money for a pistol. The Wilson Supergrade package starting price is $5,050 bucks.
So about 20 days ago I ran across this regular stainless CQB in .45acp on GunBroker, it was used, I am the third owner, it left Wilson in December of 2011, it looked new in pics. Came with the Wilson pistol case, 2 magazines, one is WC still new in package and all the paperwork, build sheet and test fire paper. It was way less than the Supergrade. I thought I would be outbid but nope.
I picked it up this morning from my FFL who was holding it for me. The auction ended the other weekend and I was able to get the payment sent before leaving for Aruba 2 weeks ago.
The Wilson build sheet says the pistol has the requested trigger pull of 3 1/2 pounds. I don't own a trigger pull gauge but it feels like closer to 2 1/2, real close to my old Colt Government that I had "work" performed on many moons ago. I'm cool with it.
No, not fired it yet, I'll let you know.
I am excited to see if it lives up to all the Internet Forum hype!
We shall see. Seemed like a pretty fair price, hopefully it will be a great shooter...if not I can always trade it for two Kimber's.
It feels good in hand, it has a couple small holster marks on front of polished slide.
