Ripped the top off my "Wish List" ...

Yup...I finally pulled the trigger, smashed my piggy bank … got "the one" I've been really wanting. I got my "assault rifle", a term I hate really, as I have no plans on assaulting anyone. But with the current political trends, I've really been wanted a cool auto rifle for awhile now.

So here it is …(deep breath) ...IWI TAVOR X95 FDE 17"- 9mm. Ordered from Bud's the day before my birthday. I went 9mm for several reasons, one I really didn't want to add another caliber, I may want to shoot it in the local USPSA / PCC matches this summer. I have thousands of rounds 9mm ammo already stashed and the prices seem to get better everyday.

I dug through my boxes and cabinets of stuff and came up with a Sig Romeo 5 red dot, an Inforce weapon's light and a Crimson Trace Railmaster 206 green laser. All from old projects, going unused.

Then I hit up Midway for six more 32rd mags, two 10rd mags and a sling, all from AR Stoner. I found the cool case from Peak Case Co. at Amazon. I also added Magpul rail covers to protect myself from the almost two feet of picatinny rails. Also the TAPCO vertical fore grip for a better hold on this beast.

This thing is heavy, solid and locks up like a bank vault. Those Israelis' make some serious stuff … it's looking at "badass" in the rearview mirror. Due to the nasty cold, wet weather I haven't made it to the range yet … but I will soon, even if just for a mag or two. I hope all you rifle guys can dig it as much as I do.

Good luck with it. Donít forget they have conversion kits for it too and a bag made for it. Welcome to the Tavor clan!

Still looking a little weird to me but bad ass at the same time.
Looks like it would make a great urban truck rifle.
You sweep the streets and I'll take overwatch old school style.

Ha! Yeah it is a little weird I'll give ya that. But you know that's one of the reasons I wanted it. At my club range and local public range you can see ARs, AKs and M-1s of all sorts anytime. But I've NEVER seen one of these. Plus the Pistol Caliber Carbine competition looks like great fun. The courses can be tight considering they're really set-up for pistols. I've seen a few people have to do some serious maneuvers to get around with traditional long guns, so I thought the "bullpup's" short compact design would be perfect. And with 32+1 it would make a serious SHTF truck/home/street companion.

And what can I say … I like being a little different.

Really cool looking and great short range caliber & scope choice.

You and 2sharp2 count me in on the deal. I'll take the 800 to 1200+ yard shots with my M24A3 topped with a 12x42 Nightforce scope. I think with these weapons we can control the situation pretty well.

I'd love to have one myself. What was the cheapest price you found on them if you don't mind me asking. I have a Rock River 9mm AR but would like to get one of these. NICE!!!

That is one sweet weapon Paul. I’ve been looking at them for a couple years now and like you, I’m a little different. Also I shoot a pistol right hand and a rifle left hand. Go figure. Looking forward to range reports.

Congratulations Paul, that looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun especially in 9mm.

Well just think of it this way: the assault rifle isn't what you grab when you plan to leave your house and assault someone, it's the rifle you grab when your house is under assault.
Cool platform, enjoy!
