Quick question about Springfield owners

Anyone own a TRP or MC Operator or anything like that from Springfield Armory? I am curious to hear what your opinions are.

Thanks!

I have a 1911A1. 25 years old. Tightest tolerances with the smoothest action of any other pistol I own.

I have the TRP on my list. Springfield people are very high on their product and I understand it's for good reason.

I have a 1911A1 from about 20 years ago and it's a nice gun. I have a Range Officer from a couple of years ago and it's a VERY nice gun, really excellent.

I own both the guns you mentioned, they are good 1911s. I will say that I like my Warriors better, nothing major the Springers just have sharper edges and don't sit as low in my hands while shooting. I replaced the crappy locking MSH in my MC Op, with an Ed Brown MSH and Magwell and used a 19lb main spring, it now has a better trigger then the TRP. One thing to keep in mind is the TRP has one of the sharpest and aggressive front strap checkering on a 1911, many find it far too aggressive does not bother me however. They are certainly a quality alternative, when shopping 1911s.
My MC Op and TRP.

Mr. Chickadee has the TRP Operator & also the EMP. He absolutely loves both of them.
