Just to put things in perspective...

I have a 9 and a 45...in addition to 2 other M&Ps, 3 Kimbers, 2 Rugers, a Walther, a Glock and 2 Berettas (and probably some I've forgotten).

Wow I knew the Shield was popular but 3 million? Ida never guessed. I recently watched several long term ownership tests of Shields vs Glocks...most picked the Shield.

Mine are both great through 750 rounds. Never an issue, but they are ugly...not as ugly as Glocks, but....

The S&Ws seem to be nice budget EDCs. Not everyone wants to carry around a $1100.00 1911 and do you really want carry your $4000.00 Nighthawk? You know if you ever have to use it, even if you're in the right, it might lay in an evidence locker for a year or more and you may never see it again.

I agree. But if you are going to buy a NH, you won’t carry it, most likely won’t compete with it. Then what? Make it a safe queen or just a bbq gun? Ya can’t be worried about stuff like that. No matter what gun, I wouldn’t want to lose any gun. But more importantly, did you survive? You can cry later. Just stay alive.

I had a 9mm Shield and it was a very reliable carry gun for a very reasonable price. I’m a fan of the M&P line. I traded mine for a Sig P938 which I like more. The only thing I didn’t care for about the Shield was the texture under the trigger guard where it meets the grip..
