This Is What I'd Like To Buy

But I have been unable to allow myself to spend that much dough for one pistol. I'll let the auction pics speak for itself.

Awesome.

If you're looking for encouragement let me know and I'll try my best. Just ask the Kid... he was clicking the buy button on mammoth grips same day.

Yeah that's a beauty no doubt. But I'm like you that's a lot of coin for one gun.

My wish list is a little more conservative I've had my eye on the DAO, Colt Night Cobra, .38 . For one it's a Colt and I don't own a Colt revolver and it's a .38 snub nose. I have two Smiths but I've had a love affair with the snubbies since I was a kid. All the cool detectives of my childhood carried a snub nose revolver.

And I can get at least six of them for the price of the Wilson, so there is that.

Ideal situation, I'm on the lookout for a WC just like that and the owner has fallen on hard times and already taken the hit on the full blown price and I snag it for about half that amount!!

...buy it dude, WTFN? In the words of someone famous "you never see a UHAUL behind a hearse"!!!
...I'd get killed by my wife for dropping 5k on a pistol!!! Judging from the history of purchases you post though your bride is a little more understanding than mine :-)

That’s a beautiful 1911 that I wouldn’t mind owning but at this time it’s out of reach. I agree Arland, that’s a lot of dough for one pistol... but damn it’s nice.

As an owner of this class of firearm, a nighthawk, I can say it was worth it. Amazing craftmanship and is a dream to shoot.
