Really been eyeballing the Sig Sauer 1911 45 Ultra Compact Tribal. Would love to find a used one, but no luck. They're not making them currently, but places are still selling their new old-stock. And it seems folks on Gun Broker don't know what they can buy them for, because they're bidding them up every time higher than one can just go to a Gun Shop online and buy them.

So if someone runs across one at a good price, please keep me in mind Best price I can find them (new) is around $700. Which isn't terrible for new, but not quite the deal I was looking for.

I don't really get the Tribal thing but I like the Sig Ultra.

Something just a little different I really like the looks of it. I haven't ever been too much of a standard all black gun kinda guy.

I haven't seen the tribal version, but the Sig Ultras are very nice looking for sure and and Ultra sized 1911 is off the charts cool.

...I'd say go ahead and grab one while you can if you like the pistol. If you know of a shop that has one for less than they're going for on Gun Broker I'd jump on it. Finding something used that you'll be able to inspect before buying may be a lot to hope for??? Personally I'd rather buy new anyways???
...JMO, I hope well be seeing a range report either way :-)

I don't have the Ultra but I do have the Sig TACOPS, full size 1911. I really like it. The slide to frame fit is tight and really smooth. And it has the cleanest, lightest trigger of any of my 1911s. A real nice shooter with zero failures.

I hope you find the gun your looking for … I think you'll be pleased with it.

I couldn’t find anything used and this was the best new price I could find with free shipping. Around $700 like you said.

Yes, that was one of them. There was another that was similar price but you could request a quote (maybe to get around MAP pricing?) for one so I've done that. I doubt they'll discount much more, but we'll see.

That is a very nice looking shooter!! My full sized late 90's Kimber 1911 fits that description you put - tight, smooth, awesome trigger. It's had some work though. The only other one in the running right now is a Kimber Ultra SS. The Sig has night sights already so that's a bonus. We'll see what turns up.

And yes, a range report no doubt once I get something.

$665

Just my two pennies... My observations have been that sales demand for special design thingies on guns generally fades quickly, then heavily discounted and not easy to sell used. My thoughts are take your time and wait for a deal to come to you. Happy gun hunting.
