My new Sig Ultra Compact 1911 45 came in :-)

Came in a couple days early, picked it up today. Tore it down right away, got all the factory grease out, cleaned her up... ready for the range. I cycled the slide probably 100 or so times, worked the trigger the same, put about 4 magazines through it (cycled the rounds through it, no live fire). Everything felt great. Nice tight tolerances, should break in quite nicely I suspect!

I have some VZ Operator 2 G10 grips on the way; the smooth aluminum aren't my thing. Night sights are nice and bright, front strap checkering is nice and grippy. Not near as small as my Micro 9, but that was to be expected. I tried installing the spare/extra Smith and Alexander Ambi Mag Release but the Sig's mag release isn't internally cut quite the same to have some "releaf" for the ambi part to function properly. Oh well, I'll have to have a spare for now... or buy another 1911 just so I have use of it

3rd picture below shows the comparison in size between my full size Kimber 1911 45, Ultra Compact Sig 1911 45, and a Kimber Micro 9. Love em all for different reasons. Being the Sig hasn't been to the range yet, it's still awaiting it's final paces of trust.

Very nice.

Glad to see no problems with the seller. IIRC, you had a bit of doubt.

Well Phil, as you know... sometimes when things seem a little too good, they just might be. But Guns Midwest was quick with delivery and apparently they had in stock exactly what they sold me because their system seemed to update quickly too. A very smooth transaction.

Thanks for finding that one!!

Congratulations, looks great, I prefer grips that are textured or partially textured over smooth grips too.
