They got me again

Just minding my own business this morning having my coffee and reading through the paper when out drops a flyer from Sportsmens Warehouse.
1911 R1S....$449.99
IMG_2452.JPG
Needless to say I had to go up to the store and check it out. The slide/frame fit is just tighter than a Nats ass and as smooth cycling as any 1911 I've ever handled. The trigger is an amazing 3 to 3 1/2 pounds with a glass like break. The grip safety and hammer are old school G.I. issue as well as the double diamond checkered walnut grips. The sites are upgraded three dot in the dovetailed slide, the magazine well has a slight bevel and the magazine release extends even further than my Colts. Even came with two magazines.
I don't plan to customize this in anyway it's going to be just a range gun or a truck gun but I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

Mine is the same way. Had it for a while now and as tight and smooth as any 1911 Iíve ever handled. Itís a tack driver too with my 200 grain SWC reloads.
Congrats, thatís about what I paid for mine too. Canít beat a price like that for a high quality 1911 like the Remington. Best 1911 for the money hands down.

As we say , "a good get" Ö the Remmy should make you a great all around shooter. But for me I'd have to upgrade the "beaver tail"....I still have a little pink scar on the web of my hand from my first 1911. A satin nickel Colt Commander I got for IPSC back in the day.

After about 5 to 600 rounds a month for a summer match season, with the GI grip safety, I learned all about the value of customizing a 1911. The damn thing tried to chew it's way through my hand.

Fantastic Score. I have one in Blue, and it's a great shooter. I shoot nothing but Reloads and even with them, it's never hung up in any way.

Congratulations, I’ve read a lot of good reviews about Remington 1911s. I almost bought the R1 Enhanced once.

Minding your own damn business while you were sipping the java and reading the local rag. I bet that the people who market that Remington had that scenario in mind when they printed those flyers up. Pure marketing geniuses if you would ask me.

Congrats CuCa.......

It looks great, I like it and you can't beat the price with a stick. I like the SR1911 Ruger's also but they cost a little more.

I have an R1 E that I have had for several years. It has always been tight, reliable and accurate. You got a great bargain there.

That is a tremendous deal! I have heard nothing but good about the Remington 1911s. Enjoy.
