Range Report Sig P938

After fondly fondling a P238 SAS last week I have been searching for one with an ambi (yes I'm a lefty). Sig wants 55 bucks for round trip shipping to the Sig mothership plus the ambi cost, this has made me hesitate on this model. SA only carrying cond 1, I want ambi. After thoroughly checking gunbroker and 3 lgs looking for me one with no luck. My third lgs made me an offer on a 938 that I could not refuse today.
The feel with the ext magazine is excellent and the trigger is crisp not much play at all. With that being said I was extremely disappointed with my first 25 rounds spraying them all over the target. I think I may have missed the whole target 3 times. I can only count 22 holes.

At the end of the first 25 rounds I moved my trigger finger more toward the tip and I started making better shots. I did have one fail to feed. The bullet never left the magazine. Bump, rack and fire. No other issues. The only other small nines that I can compare the Sig to is an Ruger LC9 that was no fun to shoot at all that I sold quickly and a Ruger SR9C that has an awesome trigger but weighs approx 26 ounces. This Sig is fun and comfortable to shoot . I could shoot it all day. Now it's time to put it through the paces for edc quality.
The last 25 rounds.

Good shooting! Try different ammo next time it could make a difference.

I think you did well for your first trip with the 938. It took me about 100 rounds to get it down. Keep practicing and it will come to you. Shooting little pistols can be a challenge.

When I still had a 938 I found it preferred 124g bullets, standard pressure, YMMV.

Nice looking gun glokrok, it takes a little bit of practice learning to grip it but once you do it will shoot some surprising groups.

I'll pipe in with the same advice others have given.Try various types of ammo and keep shooting the gun. You'll eventually find the right ammo and trigger finger placement for this little beauty.
