10 reasons to get a 460 Roland kit.

1. Gives your 1911 the power of a 44 magnum.
2. Gives you 50% more ammo than a 44 when fully loaded.
3. Half the recoil of a 44 magnum revolver.
4. Flatter shooting and more accurate than your 45.
5. Once installed it will still fire 45 ACP as well as 45 super and 460.
6. The same conversion barrel installs on your other 1911s.
7. Only about $300 for the kit.
8. Will put a smile on your face and get attention at the range.
9. Membership in a very exclusive club.
10 Very Sexy!

1275 FPS out of a 8” barrel is a lot closer to mid range 357 mag in the same barrel length. Powerful but no where near 41 or 44 mag. My 41 Mag is pushing 1550 FPS with my hand loads.

Still wouldn’t mind a 460 kit for my Remington R1 Stainless.

My handloads for the 460 Rowland are all in the 1450 fps range out of a 5 in. barrel...

I've loved my conversion kit since the day I first shot it. Just when I thought things couldn't get any better the installation of the Burris Fastfire 3 proved me wrong. Red Dot optics are a Godsend for 76 year old eyes.

Who makes a 460 Rowland Kit? Neither Brownell or MidwayUSA lists a 460 Rowland kit, just dies and cases.

I think I can safely say that the 460 Roland ballistics fall within the energy range produced by these Buffalo Bore 44 magnum loads.

Reason number 11.

If you don't like it you can just blame Chuck. I believe he was the first one to write about the 460 Roland on KT. He's the guru; I'm just a disciple.
