Companion .44 Magums
With all the recent chatter about rifle/handguns chambered in companion calibers, I thought a shot of my personal 'companion' .44's would be in order.
My Marlin 1894 Carbine in .44 Mag, along with my S&W M629 Classic (6.5"), and my M29 Classic Hunter (3"), also in .44 Mag.
Pictured with the guns are my hard-cast Keith 245gr SWC's, loaded under 20.0grs of 2400; deadly accurate, and field proven.
The Marlin is an older 1982 vintage "JM" marked carbine, and the Smith M29 Classic Hunter is a non-cataloged Lew Horton special run from back in the late 80's. I've got good leather for both revolvers, so they do indeed see time afield when in the high country here.
Anyone else willing to share their own "companions"?
