Another 1911!! Again, not a Kimber

Not my fault! Was just browsing at lunch, when this SS Mil spec caught my eye!!

Just after getting that Colt a few weeks ago, I had a bit of buyers remorse for buying something too nice, too much.

This is more me, a working man's 1911!

A real beauty!! I asked if they had a SS Kimber Custom II no, so I jumped!

Please welcome the newest member of the family. SA SS Mil Spec

Nice pistol...I have a Colt 45, Government Model, Mark IV Series 70 that I purchased in 1973 for $110.00. I cherish it....

Springfield Armory is as classic as a Colt. Good move.

Mine was a PITA till I found out I had a very loose extractor. Once I fixed it, I was finally able to appreciate it as being as fine a tolerance 1911 I've ever handled.

I have never fired a Springfield but if it shoots as good as it looks, it will be great. Very good looking 1911

SA always tries to put together a nice package, case, 2 all SS magazines, 2 pair of grips too! wood and rubber, metal main spring housing rounded. Magazine holder and holster are junk and will be used as dog chew toys.
Whole package 689.00 out the door!

Oldsoul i believe you will like that SA.I have a full size SA SS also. I am very accurate with that 1911. Something about the design or angle of the grip maybe the balance or all those things,I just know the first time I shot my Springfield and the first time I shot the kimber I surprized
myself with the accuracy. It must be the 1911 design.

I have a few SA's, and as others have stated, as fine a 1911 as any other, and mine have all been as tight as most of my higher end pistols. You will enjoy that one, and it looks good.
