Though double action is not my primary choice, I do despise DA/SA firearms.

Why two different trigger pulls? It’s like being bi-sexual isn’t it. Just pick a team and stick to it.

Brief periods of my career forced me into 3Gen Smiths and Sig P series. Never ever again.

Don’t want to slam choice. Glad you like them. Just not for me. My P220 was a new West German made (when there was two Germanys). Robar NP3 finish, night sights. Had a few broken trigger bar return springs and a cracked barrel locking block. Bore too high above grip tang. And the DA/SA thing.

Different strokes for ....

Just have the one; it's my nightstand gun, the rest of my pistols are 1911s.

Curious why your not using one of the 1911's as a nightstand gun?

Long answer to short question

1. Higher round capacity
2. Rail for light/laser (Surefire XC2)
3. More deliberate first shot trigger pull
4. Second and subsequent pull and reset better than any of my 1911's
5. No safety lever to deal with
6. Easier for wife to operate (see #5)
7. It's a Sig Legion: fits and grips my hand better with all the checkering and G10 grips.
8. Best night sights available.
9. I shoot it very well.
Anyway it's just all theory right now and I hope I never have to prove it.
In a scenario were I'm awakened from a sound sleep and a little groggy it makes good sense for me.

#5 is important, particularly for a nightstand gun. Seen countless experienced and 'wide awake' shooters at the range stand up to the firing line, present the gun, aim, squeeze trigger... nothing. Doh! Safety engaged.
