1873 Winchester in .44 Mag - Heads up 2Sharp2 !

Arland had mentioned he was looking for a pre-safety Winchester in .44 Mag (that didn't cost an arm & leg) and I came across this one today.....

Unfortunately, its priced way past Arm & Leg criteria.... more like a whole family's worth of appendages

Whoa! No wonder why they want $400K "The Bandit Queen". She had quite the colorful history. Great story

Yup, it's a .44 alrighty, but actually a .44-40 WCF.

The .44 Magunm did not come on the scene until 1955 or thereabouts, joint venture by S&W and Remington, spurred on by our old buddy Elmer Keith.

Belle's old '73 would detonate if fed a .44 Mag! (Wouldn't chamber anyway ) What a great piece of American Western History. The stories that rifle could tell if it could talk.
