Kobra Carry Parts Needed

I would like to add an ambi safety to my Kobra Carry. Does anyone out there know what will fit & if it's an easy drop in, or will it require modifications?

Also looking to change out the grip safety - would like one without the 'memory pad'. Doesn't look like Ed Brown makes such a part. Anyone know where I can get one that will fit?

For 1911 parts, Brownells is always my first place to look. I usually find multiple solutions and options there.

Chickadee, I think your best bet would be to contact Ed Brown, they could probably answer your questions better then we can.

Chickadee, I discovered this company while searching for parts for my old Detonics .45. They carry a lot of 1911 parts, maybe they can help you.

EGW Gun Parts stands for Evolution Gun Works, Inc

Thanks Arland! Looks like a cool site. Has anyone here used any of their parts?

EGW is a very reputable company, I agree with calling EB and talking to Justin he is very helpful. Both my Browns have thier ambi-safety on them, safeties are usually not a drop in part, needs some fitting as do the grip-safety. Not saying you can't get lucky and have a perfect drop in fit, but it is not the norm.
