Range Report

Beretta PX4 Sub Compact. 40 S&W

Went to the range today with my Brother in Law. He just picked up a new Sub compact Beretta. Nice shooter, has a very good trigger and decent sights. Accuracy was dead on. Have a short video of him shooting but not sure how to upload it. Other than that, very nice compact carry gun. Ran flawless all 100 rounds we put through it.

I never had a Beretta until 2 weeks ago and now have an auto and a revolver...

They seem to be made rather well and I haven't had any issues with either of them so far..

Thanks for the report...

I'm jealous, that range makes the place I shoot at look like a candle lit cave.

We have a couple local indoor ranges that are well lit. Even have lights you can turn on and off over your shooting station. This one has two dedicated lanes to a simulater. They run 200 rounds per shooter, turn off the lights and the simulater takes over. Like a silk screen with computer simulations. The scenes are home break in, convenience store robbery and so on. The special screen records hits you put down range in these senerios. The perps even wear body armor so you have to pay attention and head shot when needed. Lucky to have these facilities close to home. 100 bucks to run the simulation, two hours and 200 rounds. Good times.

Had to send one of my kids back to the mothership today. Last 5 round of the 100 I put through it on this range outing locked the slide back on every round. (know what that is) cleaned it this morning and the spring keeper on the right (ambidextrous slide stop and safety) slide stop broke off. So off to Bersa for a new right hand slide stop and spring. Gun is a Bersa Thunder Ultra Pro Compact 40. Spring keeper on slide stop is really thin, hope this isn't a recurring thing. Other than that it's been flawless since I got it 2 years ago. Probably 1000 rounds through it. Now we will see how quick Bersa is on returns. I'll keep ya posted.
