38/357 day at the range.

I am not a revolver/lever gun guy by any means. But I do have a small collection I like to shoot from time to time. I spent the majority of my professional and private life shooting and training with M16/M4, 1911s and Glock's, so I tend to lean that way.
This morning I shot my...
586 4" barrel, it's a -3 I just picked up local off of gun broker. It is in great shape and shot fantastic. Grips are dated March 1990
686 2.5" barrel, it's a -4 I bought new in early 1996. It's been a great gun that is as accurate out to 15 as the 4 inch after that the longer barrel of the 586 wins. Both double action pulls are smooth and lite, single of course is a hair trigger.
Taurus ultra lite M85, I bought new in 2008. Use to carry it as a back up gun, not much any more. But it is a good shooter up close, action nowhere near as nice as the Smith's and plus P carry rounds will sting your hand. But for a lite simple up close gun, it will do the job.
Rossi 92, just bought this from a friend. Nice short lite little carbine, powder puff with .38 and not much recoil with .357 either. I'm sure it's good out to 100, but I shoot it from 25 to 50. The action is very smooth and fast, the only thing to watch out for is longer .357 they can jam up the action.
All are really from to shoot, I'll post some pics.

Thank you sir. Big fan of the early 586 and 686, they command a pretty penny today. I remmember when you could walk out the door with one for around $400.00 with a trigger to die for right out of the box

Very nice group of toys you have there. I bet they are a lot of fun to shoot.

I'm a big wheelgun fan and you have some nice one's. I had a 586 no dash that I paid $400 for. I traded it for a 65-3 3" and some cash. Hated to see it go but really wanted a 3" 65.
