Shot the 629 today....

...yes it is a handful! Shot six cylinders of Federal 240 grn jhp's. Three cylinders with two hand grip and three with a strong hand grip. Shot it better with the strong hand grip. The two bullseyes was with one hand. I was all over with double action no matter how many hands. It was a lot of fun. Definitely not boring to shoot. Oh, and no failures!
The six at the yellow circle was my last. I had to quit on those.

629 is fun. I can't shoot too many before the weight of the gun and the recoil start me drifting around. First couple of cylinders are usually respectable. After that it looks like buckshot, only worse.

If the bullet don't kill them, the blast will deafen them and set their clothes on fire.

I use to reload 44Mag with Hercules Blue Dot. The huge belch of powder flame from the barrel was impressive.

Thank you all. I was pretty keyed up today had a hard time holding her steady especially in double action. With my 686 Plus l can shoot almost as good and sometimes better with double action. This one has a heavier pull and after a little over half way it just falls off the cliff. Its going to take some getting used to. I need to get a couple of speed loaders so I can toss them in my purse by my dental floss.

Dental Floss? You need a mouth guard so you don't chip your teeth! Not a gun for a girly man. Nice target. I'd love to see a picture of it, also what barrel length. I prefer the blued but either way my favorite weapon in any barrel length. Did you shoot any "Punks"?
