A Sporting Question

Question for Kimber owners
#1 Who does not own a modern sporting rifle, AKA, AR15?
a. Why not?
#2 If Kimber made one, would you buy it?
a. If yes to #2, what different features or finishes would you like to see.

If you do own one and want to show it off, go-head.image.jpeg

I have an S&W AR-15 in 5.56. Love it.

Would not buy a Kimber AR because the price would be over $3,000
IMO, paying over $1,000 is way too much for an AR. YMMV

#1. I don't own one, never even held one.

#1a. There's no place relativity close (within 60 miles) where I can shoot them.

#2. No, see #1a.

I have Remington, Ruger, Winchester and Savage rifles in calibers ranging from .22 to .338 Win Mag. that haven't been shot in years.

A Beretta CX4 Storm 9mm. Comes in 45 but I got the 9mm as it accepts the magazines for my Beretta PX4 Storm pistol. Added a Bushnell red dot optic. Just want to find a good flash light and that is all i need. The gun can be set up for left hand or right handed shooter in less than a minute. (including ejection port). I have 10, 20 round mags 10 17 round mags which can be used in both the pistol and the carbine. Sweet shooting gun. Shoots as smooth as my Micro. Can barely feel the recoil.

Chuck, i'm willing to bet that if you fired one you would drive 60 miles every couple of months to go out and shoot it they are really fun; with the right sites and accessories it's even a great home defense firearms. The 556 round will penetrate less drywall than a 45 ACP.

I've built quite a few of them.

I can't think of any reason why a Kimber AR would be any better than any other AR. So no, I wouldn't buy one.

I "owned" something similar in the military, only cheaper to shoot I built my own AR and shoot it every few months at bouncing rubber targets. I would not buy a Kimber version as I don't see how they could improve on anything above what I can build at far less cost than Kimber would charge.
