It's here!

Picked up my new used M1A today it is used but new to me and looks real clean. The front sight is a Trijicon that does not glow. I am going to call them in the am and see if they are willing to do something. Springfield said if I was the original owner the Trijicon sight would be guaranteed for twelve years this rifle is only wo years old.The picture turns right side up after you click on it.Sorry about the poor lighting.https://www.kimbertalk.com/forums/att...&d=1455685154t

Wink Oh Yeah!!!

Nice toy, Tom!! I have wanted one of those. As I have stated before, my spare funds are being redirected to grand kids!! I have enough toys to keep me going a while. I now need to spoil four grand kids rotten. That's my job!!

Maybe when they get older, they can buy toys for Grandpa!! I'd settle for just taking them hunting and fishing!!

Enjoy that thing, Tom. Be sure to let us know how it performs at the range. A right side up picture or two wouldn't hurt either!! Standing on my head to look at the one you attached hunt............very much bad!! Now I have a flat spot!!

I will take some pictures manana. I retired now I am busier than ever, I think I will go back to work. I have a (Great) nephew that my nephew is spoiling and his great grand mother (my mom) is helping to spoil also My nephew loves to hunt and shoot so he will be introducing Mason (Great nephew) to hunting and shooting. Hope to be a part of that myself. Lineman I really think it is great that you are able to enjoy and spend time with your grand children.

Love the M1A platform. Heavier than the AR's but I think a better all-around gun.

Congratulations on the new (to you) M1A Tom. Are you a graduate of the Zoomy school of picture posting?

Better Pics I hope!

https://www.kimbertalk.com/forums/att...846=1455731846

I called Trijicon to see about getting the front sight warranted. They had me call the maker of the sight which is XS sights. They make the sight then send it to Trijicon to be filled with the Tritum you have to have the license to fill them. Bottom line Gary at XS sights is sending me a new front sight for my Socom 16 (free!). He said it might take 45 to 60 days because they are back ordered. I can be patient. When it comes to free merchandise. Gary was great to deal with! I told him the rifle was 2 and a half years old and he said it was due to be changed out.
