Yeah, I have a problem with the lock also. Not really a fan of transfer bar revolvers either. Pre-lock command such a high price nowadays, I don't know if I really want to pay that for a .22 that will be just a range toy and varmint disposal gun. The thing is if you shop around for a Model 17 K22 or pre lock, you could find one for a reasonable price, the value will only increase.
Lucky me I have two of them one is a pretty old one my Dad gave me and I have the new one he bought for himself.
