What are your thoughts about this little puppy?

I just got a thing for front serrations and round butts! We Review the NEW Smith & Wesson E-Series!
Don't see front serrations on Commanders very often. Kinda flips my switch.

Nice looking 1911 a little too much bling for me maybe, I shy away from Smith and Sig 1911 do to the external extractor. Like the internal better, I know it, trust it and can work on it. External is a unknown and unneeded change for me.
I'm sure there are many that like and trust Smith and Sig 1911s, but there are just too many really nice internal extractor 1911s available for me to take a chance on the newer outies.

I have grown tired of front slide serrations but those on the new Smith look pretty good, however I think they look like a larger version of the scales on a Raptor.

I don't know if I would buy one because of the external extractor just not used to that type.

I think it's a nice looking gun and I'm a S&W fan.

I think it's a good looking gun but I'd have to shoot one before I bought it.

I didn't see it, but is the barrel ramped or unramped?

Front serrations serve two purposes for me #1 eye candy #2 l am left handed and while holding the gun with my left hand l can easily press check with my right hand and look into the ejection port and see the inside of the chamber. If Kimber makes a pro model with front serrations and a round butt l am not aware of it.

Inside, the SW1911SC features a standard feed ramp and a one-piece full-length guide rod inside of a full-power spring. Again, S&W considered this subject carefully. Shooters seem to be split right down the middle on guide rods, and S&W chose the full-length guide rod for the simple reason that switching to the original design is easy and not likely to cause problems.
