Strangest thing happened today with my Sig P938.

I lost a grip screw.
Thats really not the problem. I was just kidding about the grip. While shooting I pull the trigger and nothing. Im thinking, ftf? ffte? Nope it completely cycled but the hammer was down. It did not cock. I pulled the hammer back. Cocked it and it fired. What in the......l did not rack it. I knew I had more rounds. I could see the slide was flush. It was in battery uncocked. Any ideas?

Yes, you experienced a common problem with the P938s and P238s. The grip screws come loose and you lose them. I have read about this on Sigtalk forum.

Go to the Sig factory store and buy some replacements.

Get some #60 rubber o-rings (any home center store) and slip one on the screw then snug it down and that won't happen again.

Or use locktite. Did the primer show a double strike?
