In this case the K is not for Kimber!

While my computer was getting overhauled I found this on Armslist. Since I did not own a 40 cal.I said why not.It came with three factory ten round magazines and I already had two other factory H&K mags that were in my possession that are not ten round that I had purchased at the swap meet I frequent. This is a H&K USP compact .40 Urban grey. They say on the internet they are suppose to have made only 500 Urban grey compact 40's.

Nice find Tom, dig the color also. Although it's not a popular choice today, I'm still a big .40 fan. Have many .40 handguns, always shoot them as well if not better then 9mm and I don't care what the FBI or anyone else says. If my ass is on the line I'd trust a 180 gran bullet more then a 147 gran bullet to save it. As far as the .40 'snap' you always hear about, BS for me anyway. I was qualifying with one of our instructors once, he's a very good combat shooter and he was amazed how I could but multiple rounds on target with my little .40 Glock 27 faster then he could with his larger softer shooting 9mm Glock 19. While I own and shoot all three of the main service/self defense rounds 45, 40, 9. If I had to dump one, it would be 9mm. Like and trust .40 more and would never part with .45.

Congratulations Tom, that's a real nice gun. I don't own any HK's but I'd like to buy one someday.

Thanks, but I'm more interested in the HK45 and I'm not ready for my next purchase yet.

Hey Tom, great find. The USP compact is one of the smoothest shooting 40 cals. As it was originally designed for 40 and then branched out to 9 and 45, it is a joy to shoot. I love mine. Enjoy!

Cool. I like their compacts. Last week I was bigging on an HK .40 on gunbroker. I made a modest bid to take the lead, then thought, do I really NEED another gun? The answer was obvious, so I bid it up even more. I didn't win, but one of these days I'll get an HK.
