Got CZ?

Took two of my CZ's and a CZ clone to the range this morning, put 330 rounds through them.
I've owned them for a while now and while they are still pretty low on the round count, I've put enough through them to have a really good feel for them. Both the SP-01 and the 75b have over 2250 fired while the Canik Shark is at 850. While I like them and they are solid reliable handguns, I'm not a huge fan. I like 1911s, Glocks and even M&P's more. But I have noticed that the firearms world is really opening up to CZ, there is a growing love of all things CZ in the privit sector and in competition. A couple interesting notes, my Canik Shark clone is just as good as the real CZ's. It's a heck of a shooter and a real bargain. Also I did not shoot my favorite CZ today, the P09. I like that plastic fantastic CZ more then the steel ones.
Anyways a pic of today's players...

And the Qual target for the SP-01, 47/50(minimum to qual is 46)one flyer at 15 and yikes two at 25.

I took my Wisconsin CCW competency test on a CZ 83. One ragged, smoking hole of 30 rounds.

As far as plastic guns go, my CZ P09 configured for cocked/locked carry is my favorite.

Nice is that a .380?

The qual run I do is a SWAT handgun Qualification course. Fifty rounds and at least 46 good hits for a go.
It's from 3 to 25 yards, all work from the holster with speed reloads. It involves failure drills, strong hand only, support hand only and shooting on the move, with time limits. It is pretty challenging, but very fun.

I have mine set up for SA only also, it's the only way I use my CZ's. I found along time ago that I'm OK with two types of triggers, but add a third and it's way too much work to try and stay profeciant at them all. So I stick with SA only and striker fire, let DA/SA go.

I've got two CZs but neither is a handgun. Love 'em both.

CZ 527 Carbine (.223 Rem)
CZ 455 Trainer (.22LR)

I've had a CZ-52 for years. I never really liked it, but ammo was dirt cheap. The gun would often fail to lock back, and I didn't care enough to do anything about it. Last week I ordered some springs from Wolff, and it occurred to me to get a new magazine spring for the CZ. I think it's now time to make it into a good gun. I can't let all that ammo just sit there on the shelf.
