So I bought this Solo Carry with tritium sights last Sept, '13, and
didn't rush getting a few round through it. Now have 150+ rounds
thru it 115 and 147 in weight, two different noses, four different mfgs.
Whats wrong so far:
1. Front sight blade loose (real loose)
2. Occasional FTF (did it on all above ammo)
3. Magazine release stiff (takes two thumbs +40lbs pressure!)
4. Safety thumb lever on right slide side is loose.
5. Starting to loose finish and chips easily.
Called service today and was told to watch a video on assembly?
Magazine release was designed to be stiff?
Try 124gn brand name / home defense type ammo.
Check serial number online against recall numbers.
Oh.................bye.
Knowing its up to the owner to work thru the issues to get it reliable,
safe and accurate. And I have had to do this before........with a few
rifles, never a hand gun. This is more than one would imagine for
a higher priced aledged quality piece.
Owning a Kimber Crimson Ultra Carry ll in .45 has been a delight.
After a couple hundred rounds.....your spoiled! And there is
nothing wrong, or going wrong.
Did they have to let it out before it was really ready?
And by the sounds of it, most of above issues are "common".
This one goes back on the shelf till fixed.
