Thanks. I enjoy the camaraderie of forums without the bullying and attitude.
My first Kimber is a Stainless Pro Carry II. Pretty basic, but I thought it would be a good start as well as a good carry gun. Unfortunately, it showed up with a defect in the coating on the aluminum frame (I started a thread to keep this one happier).
Here's a pic of the bad spot under the slide stop. Hard to imagine this got past QC, but it happens. I'm sending it back, but I'm seriously considering moving to an all steel gun. Eclipse or Pro TLE maybe...
