I recently got a set of tritium sights from Kimber to put on my new K6S DASA 3". I was able to get the front sight on with ease but the rear dovetail sight is almost impossible to move. I removed the set screw with a 1/16 allen wrench. I tried to push the sight horizontally with a clamp setup. Eventually I used a hydraulic press and it looked like the frame of the gun was going to bend before the rear sight moved. There are no gunsmiths near me so that's not an option. It looks like most sight pushers on the market are designed to be used with semi autos. Are there any for revolvers?

TLDR: Need information about safely removing rear sight.

I called Kimber...

I made a call to Kimber to ask about why the rear sight was so tight for adjustment.

After a 5 minute wait for the lady that answered the phone to ask someone, she came back with the idea to send it in.

The catch was she said if it shoots POI with their ammo they wont adjust the sight.

I tried to explain to her that my question was not that I didn't know how to sight in a revolver but to why the rear sight was so tight.

She didn't have an answer so I asked if I could speak with the gunsmith; she said he was too busy and wasn't able to answer questions directly.

Her only other answer was: "you can take it to a qualified gunsmith."

I guess she thinks "Gunsmiths" have Harry Potter's magic wands.

Gotta love customer service...lol
