I am happy to say that I think we have finally arrived. I signed off the forum last night at around 9:30 PM and this morning when I signed on at 6:45 AM there were 29 new posts. When I first joined KimberTalk back in July we weren't getting 29 new posts in a week. Another good sign is that new members are actually becoming active and posting on the forum. Let's hope that this is a sign of things to come. The only thing that could make this place better would be to have a Kimber representation become an active member here.

That would be great. I frequent a scuba forum and there are many manufacturer reps there to help answer questions and improve the user experience. The TOS require no flaming or ridiculous questions intended to embarrass or disparage the company/product/rep.

Agreed on the 'rep' thoughts, also an administrator who present would be nice. (Avatars) I haven't logged in a week and am very surprised at how many new posts are up. That's what I get for getting 'da flu.

We do have an Administrator (ffadmin) that keeps a sharp eye on the forum. I've had the honor of exchanging a couple of PM's with him.

There are times when people will try to blast a rep over product concerns or company policy, but a good rep can divert them off-line for resolution. But in doing a good job will greatly enhance the product differentiation between Kimber and 'others.'

Being a newbie in the Kimber world I find the volume of 1911 offerings to be confusing. A good rep could explain this and do it in a way that improved Kimber's standing in the marketplace.

This forum is gonna be a problem. Was on most of the morning, then had the irresistible urge to field strip, wipe down my CCCII, then had to take out a few dry-fire targets in the basement. I just like the way it feels in my hand.

 That's not a problem, is it?

Not as far as I'm concerned, I'm constantly dry firing with my LaserLyte target and plinking cans.

Pictures! It would be nice to have avatars. But, without them we should post a pic if we are discussing a new gun or a new mod.
"I bought a new Ultra Carry II doesn't mean nearly as much as "Here's a pic of my new Ultra Carry II"

So, to answer the question; No, we're not there yet. But we're getting closer.

The forum seems to be coming along very nicely. It was just a matter of patience and perseverance.I'm on a Sig site quite a bit and it seems to stay active 24/7,I suspect that in time this site will be in the same category. To all members:Keep up the good work.:)

Nice people always make good forums. Some of the others I am on at times are a little, let's say, snarky.
Yep, I know what you mean. There's another gun forum I browse through that had someone discounting a person's comment because they had very few posts in that forum. That's a lot of BS, IMO. Even the new guys can have great ideas or are willing to share real world experience. 1 post or 1,000 posts, doesn't matter to me.
