Anyone else experience a blistered area on the thumb joint in the webbing part of their strong hand after shooting the SOLO? I put around 60 rounds through mine for the first time (no failures) and this is what I walked away with. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it does, but I am ready to go shoot again this weekend, and it will not be healed. This is the only gun that has ever done this to me, and I have shot almost everyone out there. I have dry fired at home, practicing different grip positions. I will just wrap it real good for the weekend, but its not something I want to deal with time after time. I wish Hogue made some wrap around grips for this beauty.

LOL, I was whining about a blister/raw area on the palm of my strong hand after shooting 50 rounds of .40 and 100 rounds of .45. I was advised to 'toughen up.'

Yesterday's 50 + 100 did not produce as much irritation. I suppose the toughening has begun. :D

Try an inexpensive pair of fingerless work gloves with leather palms available at most home center stores.

That's why some people install a beavertail on their Glocks. Get an inexpensive golf glove to wear on range days. Wonder if others have experienced this problem with their Solo's?

Oops, I knew that! Forgive me, I'm old!!
No worries, I did'nt mean it in a negative way. I have read all the "bad" reviews about kimbers failing, I get a GREAT one, and my skin fails! Typical!!!

Almost looks like a slide bite.

Not a slide bite. From recreating the recoil motion by hand, it is actually the safety that is causing it. Who knows, maybe I'm just a pussy and need to quit typing and shoot more.:)

I wear a cheap pair of fingerless gloves when shooting on the range for the most part. At the end of shoot I run a mag with no gloves just to remind myself of the feel. I don't think shooting with gloves will affect my ability in a gun fight. I would be so pumped I'm sure I wouldn't be thinking about gloves.
The gloves also help me rack that stiff slide so much easier too. I'll put my palm of left hand near the front sites and rack it.

Me too

I was complaining on another forum about the trigger pull on my P238 and was told to "toughen up". I changed out the trigger instead.

I will be ordering a new trigger for it, after I get my night sights. From what I read and can tell, Mepro has discontinued manufacturing night sights for the SOLO.
