On Tuesday, April 15, there will be a total lunar eclipse that will turn the moon a coppery red, NASA says. It's called a blood moon, and it's one of four total eclipses that will take place in North America within the next year and a half.

I actually slept through the night. I may have been unconscious from yesterday's activities. Us 60+ need to moderate that manual labor thing.

I was up 2 times.....
It was cloudy and snowing like crazy.....
Woke up to almost 2" not sure if we finally broke the record here in the mitten.

I reckon the record indeed got broken

We got about 2 inches. That puts us at 87 for the season. The record was 73 set in 1978.

I woke up a couple of times to see it, but it was too cloudy and started to rain soon after

I got up twice . Stumbled to the bathroom and looked out the window . Saw rain and didn't think about the Blood Moon. I was concentrating on not peeing on my feet or the floor . Mission accomplished. As long as I am able to see the next days sun, I don't much care about the moon anymore .

Well, I'm in this age group and I was up to pee but it was raining so hard I could hardly make out the neighbors house much less the moon or sky.

We wanted to see it since we never saw one before so we set the alarm and this is what we witnessed.
Then I couldn't get back to sleep so I'm a wee bit tired this afternoon..

Clear AZ skies and me working the road all night. I saw it and it was pretty neat as I have never seen a blood moon before. When was the last one?

And at 51 I probably shouldn't have been awake either!

The last one was in 2010 and we will see 3 more between today and September of 2015 and won't see another until the year 2032..

Before the 20th century, there was a 300 year span when there wasn't any..
