I have a stainless TLE/RL that I love but I'm looking to make her a little less conspicuous for everyday carry.

Does anybody know if the Kimber custom shop or other good smith offers a bobtail mod similar to the Super Carry Pro? I prefer the rounded back of the Super Carry Pro over the Ed Brown option.

Okay, nobody has a response, that's cool. Does anybody know if the Super Carry Pro uses a full mainspring or a Commander? Could I use a Chen mainspring housing and machine the curve based off the radius of the grips?

I can't be the only user out there with interest in this type of mod... can I?

No, you're not the only one who has considered this mod. That said, I just never felt the investment would be worth it.
Were I to consider it, I would first inquire with Kimber. It that failed satisfaction, I would consider Cylinder And Slide or other quality firm.

This information is very constructive for correct planning. I like your work for providing information to the other.
I'd really like to know the reason for these bot posts, we've got about a dozen of them over the last couple of months. They make no sense and serve no purpose that I can see, does anyone understand the reason behind them?

They are malware/virus traps. You check out the "poster", follow the trail to a given location and you just introduced a problem to your system.
Most current forums try to eliminate or reduce these issues by having encoded log-ins or sign-ups.
Best advice is don't bother with them. And make sure your anti-virus is up to date.

Thanks for the explination pbsdaddy, what you said makes sense. All the more reason we need an active forum administration staff. I don't what the problem is but the powers to be just seem to ignore this place.

I do not ignore anything. I see everything you guys report but some of it is border line others breaks no rules at all much like this poster no rules were broken except for very bad English that might make sense before the translation lol.

Thank you for making your presence known, first I'd like to thank you for the Kimber Talk forum. Second it's refreshing to know that the forum is actually being watched, I look forward to logging into it many times a day and would hate to see it go in any direction but a positive one. When I first found the forum the posting was slow and I've tried to do what I can to inspire other to become active. I think we've formed a good core group that will inspire other members to participate. I'm looking forward to a much more active year for the forum and making a lot more new friends here in 2014.

Chuck

PS It sure wouldn't hurt if you and the rest of the management team stuck their head in the door a little more often.
