I posted once in the 1911 Forums but wanted to check in at the front desk...

New (happy) Kimber owner here.

I am getting back into shooting after a 15 year hiatus (My daughter is now of age my wife felt safer with it).

After getting my Beretta, I decided to try out a 1911 to see what the fuss was about. My LGS has a free rental friday so I decided to try a few out, the first I picked up was a Kimber. First trigger pull, bullseye, smooth...

Went to the range with a good friend... He asks if I want to try out his Kimber. He has a Pro Carry II. He was shooting a little right that day, and so I stepped in and first shot, bullseye... really smooth!

Went to leave that range and what do I see in the used case?

Welcome from Ky. I have a Stainless Pro Carry II. It makes me a better shooter, and when others try it, they suddenly look at their own gun with a slight bit of disappointment. My son has a CZ75B and shot mine once and said "hmmm...I shot a tighter pattern with your gun..."

The proof, as they say, is in the pudding....

That's a good target. No matter how many I put in the center, I always have one or two strays at 7:00. I'm working on learning to control that though.

As I was saying....this is one magazine. Second shot is the stray. Apparently it's the muscle memory of expecting the recoil. I'm practicing by dry firing some to alter my muscle memory.
