I never see a custom compact listed anywhere.

My wife has an early Custom Compact that doesn't have the "added later" safety pin.

So i guess it was made from 97-2000?

Is there any place where serial numbers are listed so I can see what year it was made?

Thanks

Why wouldn't they have records??
I emailed Hi Standard to see when my 9 shot revolver was made and they not only told me 6/1959, but that it was sold at a Western Auto store in StLou on Cherokee Street..
That's just messed up.
Don't forget Kimber started out as a rifle maker in Oregon back in 79 and has had a couple of owners. They eventually moved to New York so it's possible records were lost or thrown out at some point in time.
