Did you know that President James A Garfield's assassin chose a revolver with ivory grips over wood because he thought it would look better in a museum?
Ironically, the actual revolver has been lost and the gun displayed in the Smithsonian's exhibit is another example of the model, which has Wooden grips.

Did you know... Aircraft-to-Aircraft In-flight Aerial Refueling can be traced back to November 1921 when a wing walker took a gas can and walked across the wing of a Lincoln Standard; stepped over to Curtiss JN-4; and poured the gas into the "Jenny's" tank.

Did you know... Russia ran out of vodka, celebrating the end of World War II! When the long war ended, street parties engulfed the Soviet Union, lasting for days–until all the nation’s vodka reserves ran out a mere 22 hours after the partying started.

Did you know... Thanks to 3D printing, NASA can basically “email” tools to astronauts

Getting new equipment to the Space Station used to take months or years, but the new technology means the tools are ready within hours.

Math, man.
My personal favorite prime number is Belphegor's Prime: 1000000000000066600000000000001. That's a 1, followed by 13 0's, followed by a 666, followed by 13 more 0's, followed by a closing 1. Given that 666 is the "number of the beast" according to Revelation 13:18, and 13 has a slew of superstitions attached to it, this is probably the unluckiest prime number possible in the decimal number system.

Did you know... Creating honey is a laborious process for honey bees—to create 1 pound of honey requires the hive to visit approximately 2.6 million flowers and collectively fly around 50,000 miles.
