Yes my last two Kimbers came with cable locks, I let the 2 oldest grandkids (age 8) have them for their BB guns. You can't start teaching them to young about the importance of gun safety.

Little late to this thread, but since it resurfaced. Yes my Kimber came with a lock. Although I don't use it as I have other means of securing my firearms. I do keep them as well as the original case and all factory accessories. Should the time come that I decide to sell a firearm, having all the original factory stuff makes it more desirable!

Ok, older post. Yes, Kimber Ultra came with lock! No, will never use it. Yes, is in the plastic box. Will probably never sell this pistol, but have the lock, papers and junk just in case. Would lots rather have had another magazine!

Yep, all new guns come with a lock these days.

The original "stuff" that came with the Kimbers is still under the foam, just the way I received it. Ya never know when the complete package might help get the asking price one decides to sell a pistol.

Now with the Glocks, I took two of the locking cables and set it up in my truck in such a way that when I need to leave my carry gun in the truck, I remove the mag and lock the pistol to my truck using the cables. That way if someone breaks into my truck they can't just walk away with my pistol (ammo in my pocket.)

Yes my Kimber came with the lock. I don't use it now, but with grand kids coming, extra safety may be politically popular. With a rifle in the house a gun safe will be another thing I need.

Yes, a lot of my guns came with cable or other types of locks. My guns are in a safe and there are no children in the house any more. Only the night stand gun is unlocked. My grand kids live in Hawaii, so I send the locks to my son. When the grand kids come the night stand gun stays locked up in a small BIO-LOCKED case.

Bottom line: No, I do not keep or use the firearm locks! ;);)
