I'm not sure why I never asked this before but most days I carry my Ultra Aegis and obviously it's 8+1 but I never carry an extra mag.

How many others leave the house like this every day

Nope, do not carry any extra mags. No reason other than it's enough just carrying my compact 1911.

Day to day, in and around the local area, not always. When traveling or going to the "big" city, always! Keep a full spare in the vehicle.

Like swimming? This is why I gave up surfing. There is no good way to carry, that and there no big surf in Montana.

Carry the CDP Ultra. Have a single leather magazine holder on my belt weak side (left) with a 8 round Kimber Pro Tac mag whenever I am wearing shorts or pants. Depending on where I'm going there will be one I my left front pocket.
Traveling, one on belt, one in pocket, another one or two in vehicle.
Some times when traveling if my wife is carrying a big pocketbook I have given her a spare magazine to keep in it.

That's just me.

Oh and if I am carrying a revolver, I will have at least 3 speed loaders on my person or nearby.

I am also more than a little surprised at how many are not carrying extra ammo in some from or fashion.

I carry a extra mag everyday, when I purchase a holster, I always get the matching mag holster. Good gun belt and you will have no sag or feel the weight.

I usually do with my Shield 9mm. I keep the 7 round mag in left pocket. Must be all those years I was a carpenter but I had shield in front pocket and ProCarry 45 on the hip and still forgot they were there. But I did not need the spare mag with those two together

I usually keep a copy of Guns & Ammo as well as a couple of old Playboys in the glovebox of my truck, but that's it as far as spare mags..............

I do, in pairs.

I have mostly jean jackets with big inside pockets. I put one in each side.

I do carry a single magazine pouch on my left side just to help balance out the UC2.

And I wear wide Harley belts, so the "load" rests on me squarely. After several years, I don't notice it at all.

BTW, speaking of "several years," I just had to renew my CCW license. Man, five years flies by...
