As a newbie here, you do realize this post is years old, and the 'clip/magazine' thing has been hashed ad nauseam here relentlessly in the past. Also, the poster has been banned for stirring up shit over the years, so he won't be responding.

Suspenders are underrated. Time to reawaken the old-aged fashion.

I gave then a try a couple years ago, and I like them when I carry. It's more comfortable than over tightening my belt.

There are four dif kinds of spenders. Find one.

You don't always carry extra mag for more rounds. You also carry it in case the one in the gun fails/gets lost.

Extra mags don't have to be on your body!
In your coat pocket, the car console, utv, wife's purse, ...staged around!

I vacuum six packs of revolver cartridges and stash them,...around. Kind of a slow speed load strip.

I'm not sure why I never asked this before but most days I carry my Ultra Aegis and obviously it's 8+1 but I never carry an extra mag.

How many others leave the house like this every day

I only have the one magazine for now since Kimber only supplies one with the gun. I'll pickup another soon.
One in the gun and 1 extra is my max to carry. If I need more ammo than that I don't need more ammo, I need help.

See my post number 176 from over a year ago. IMO it applies more now than it did over a year ago when I first posted it. It’s not all about needing extra ammo but about a magazine malfunction.

I posted in this thread earlier, you carry what you're comfortable with, with me it's 8 in the gun and 2 spare 10 round magazines period.

This thread gets more relevant every year at the least.
I'm probably still the same though, 25 rounds of .45 and 7 rounds of .380 Monday-Friday; 39 rounds of 9mm on the weekends. So yeah, there's some extra mags in there.

Always carry a spare. Additional rounds, plus back up incase of failure of first mag. One of those better to have it and not need it Vs need it and not have it things

I normally don’t carry a spare except for the 10 round Wilson Combat magazine loaded with Hornady Critical Defense in my truck. However, thanks to y’all I’ve been convinced carrying another one of those on my weak side is in order for the sake of a potential failure of the Kimber mag loaded in my Ultras in condition 1.

Like I said before: My spares/extra mags are Chip McCormick 10 round power mags and I always have 1 in a mag holder weak side, sometimes I have 2 in mag holders weak side and on ROAD trips "3" two in mag holders and one in a cargo pocket or truck door pocket!
